    If you go to the doctor for insomnia, do they drug test you?
    I smoked weed about 2-4 days ago and I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. Will they drug test me? Im going in for insomnia. And if they do can they release it to your parents? Im 18. Thanks and please don’t waste your time expressing your feeling on how bad pot is.

    I strongly feel that I have chronic insomnia. If I do decide to go to a doctor, I wanna know what to be ready for. Do they just ask you questions?
    I’m 14 if that makes a difference..

    can a blood test determine what causes insomnia?
    i mean, if you get a blood test, can it tell you what’s causing insomnia?

      If the cause is thyroid disease, then a blood test for thyroid hormone levels (free T3 and free T4) will show the cause.

      If the cause is adrenal disease, then you need a pee test.

      If the cause is psychological, then you need a thorough evaluation and treatment by a psychiatrist.

    How do doctors test to for insomnia?
    I believe that I have insomnia because for years now it takes me hours to fall asleep and I wake up constantly do to nightmares. I want to get tested, but do they even do that? If they do, how do they test you for it?

      I had to go to the doctors for this a little while ago and they ask you all sorts of questions for example they may ask you if you have been feeling stressed lately. After I’m not sure what all doctors do but mine gave me a chart of things that I could try to get a better nights sleep and some herbal remedies that i could try. Some doctors may send you to a sleep clinic to get tested and/or depending on your doctor and your specific case may prescribe some sort of sleeping pills.
